Autumn is a violin instructor with several years of experience. She has experience teaching all ages, from elementary school through adult students. She has a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Puget Sound, and a Master of Music in Violin Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. She has studied with Helen dePastel Pagels, Edward Sefarian, and Oleh Krysa, and chamber music with Dr. Jean Barr and Alan Harris at Eastman, the Kairos Quartet, the Lafayette Quartet, and Cordelia Wikarski-Miedel. She has played in master classes for Camilla Wicks, Steven Staryk, Martin Chalifour, Charlie Castleman and Charles Haupt (concertmaster of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra).

Her philosophy of teaching is to emphasize the fundamentals of technique while at the same time encouraging musicality and cultivating the student's personal style - teaching students to teach themselves.
