about eric
the pianist
Eric graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance. His chamber music experience began in high school, where he performed as a member of a trio which played for various school functions and fundraising events. He was given a full scholarship to Madeleine Island Music Camp, where he was a member of a quintet which performed Schumann's formidable Quintet in E flat. He played as a member of several groups at the University of Puget Sound, as a both a harpsichordist and a pianist. As part of a large music history project, he helped arrange a concert of women's music and played the harpsichord for a performance of Elisabeth-Claude Jacquet de la Guerre's magnificent cantata Judith on that concert.
Eric has worked as a church music director since 1996, currently at Buffalo Covenant Church in North Buffalo, and has extensive experience playing and arranging contemporary Christian music. He has played background music as a solo pianist at such venues as the Hilton, Sheraton, St. Paul Hotel, Marriott, and Seattle's Court in the Square, performing Broadway show tunes, arrangements of popular favorites, and light classical music.
By day, he works as a web developer for the Fisher-Price website.
